The EFCC Subway is a Public Rapid Transit system for the city of EFCC. It currently has 22 lines that serve the downtown and suburban EFCC areas. Like any other metro system, the EFCC Subway has stations with a platform where you wait for your train. Four of these platforms has PSDs (Platform Screen Doors) and is one of the newer stations in the system.

Lines

The EFCC Subway has 24 lines. With possibly more in the future.

Station Style and Design

The EFCC Subway stations are usually utilitarian in design, and really don't have much aesthetics, as they are designed to be functional, not hyper decorative. The most ornate station in the EFCC Subway is the City Hall Station, which is the EFCC Subway's most open and lavish station, with high vaulted ceilings. The design of the stations are based off of the NYC Subway stations due to their simple, utilitarian design.

City Hall Station - The Finest station in all of the EFCC Subway

The stations are usually similar in design and all use the same color scheme of bright whitish-pink tiles with a dark blue tile band close to the floor.

Basic Station Design of whitish-pink tile with a dark blue tile band above floor.

The only exception in the whole subway is the City Hall Station, which is clad in bricks throughout.

Trivia and Fun Facts

  • The 7 and 2 are the only Lines in the EFCC Subway system to have Platform Screen Doors, and every other station in the entire system uses traditional open platforms.
  • 43rd Station is served by almost every metro line, with the exceptions of the future 4 5 6 <6> projects which will be reached by 43rd Street shuttles, and even the AMD Transit light-rail line serves 43rd Street.
  • The EFCC Subway has tunnels of various sizes, with each line having a different tunnel size.
  • The EFCC Subway's newest subway cars were built in 1963 and are the Budd R32 subway cars. No plans are made for new car orders.
  • The Magenta Line is the shortest line in the whole EFCC Transit subway system, as it only has 3 stations. The Blue Line comes close with only 4 stations.
